While enjoyment and energy are two great benefits of green tea, the greatest benefit is no doubt the benefit to health which is more and more associated with drinking green tea. Green tea contains lots of antioxidants which are known to combat or neutralize free radicals. Free radicals are organic molecules produced as a result of our bodies’ natural metabolic processes. They are for example responsible for aging, but they can also cause other damage to our cells. By neutralizing these free radicals, antioxidants can help prevent free radicals from harming healthy tissue.
